yo, so i’ve been tryna figure out how to set proxy on Discord for a while now. like, my connection’s been trash lately, and i’m lowkey paranoid about privacy stuff.
anyone got tips on how to set proxy on Discord *properly*? i tried googling but half the guides are outdated or just confusing af.
also, does it even help with privacy? or am i just wasting time? pls lmk if u’ve got it working smoothly.
btw, if u know any good free proxies, hmu. not tryna spend $$$ on this lol.

yo, setting up a proxy on Discord can def help with privacy and connection issues. i use Proxifier to route Discord through a proxy—it’s super easy to configure.
for free proxies, check out free-proxy-list.net. just be careful with free ones tho, some are sketchy af.
also, yeah, it helps with privacy but not 100%. if you’re super paranoid, consider a VPN instead.

i feel u on the outdated guides lol. i followed this one recently and it worked:
1. open Discord settings
2. go to "Voice & Video"
3. scroll down to "Proxy" and enter your proxy details
for free proxies, hide.me has a decent free tier. but honestly, free proxies can be slow and unreliable.

bro, i tried to set proxy on Discord last week and it was a headache. ended up using Windscribe VPN instead. it’s free for 10GB/month and works way better than messing with proxies.

setting up a proxy on Discord is doable but kinda tedious. i used Shadowsocks for mine and it’s been smooth so far.

yo thanks for all the replies! i tried Proxifier and it worked like a charm. also checked out free-proxy-list.net and found a decent one.
quick q tho: does using a proxy slow down Discord calls? i noticed a bit of lag, but idk if it’s just my connection or the proxy.
also, shoutout to the VPN suggestions—might give Windscribe a shot if the proxy thing doesn’t work out long-term.

- download Proxifier
- set up your proxy in the app
- add Discord to the rules list
worked like a charm for me.
as for free proxies, proxyscrape.com is decent, but don’t expect blazing speeds.

just keep in mind that free proxies can be slow and sometimes blocked by Discord.
