Subject: What’s the latest on proxy EUA approvals? Any updates or insights?

Hey everyone,

Been trying to keep up with the latest on proxy EUA approvals, but info seems scattered. Anyone got recent updates or insider insights?

Heard some folks say the process is speeding up, while others mention delays. Not sure what to believe.

Also, how’s the reliability of these approvals in emergency situations? Seen mixed opinions.

If you’ve navigated the proxy EUA process recently, would love to hear your tips or experiences.

Thanks in advance!

(Ps. Apologies for any typos—typing this on my phone lol)

Hey! I just went through the proxy EUA process last month, and yeah, it’s a bit all over the place.

From what I’ve seen, approvals *are* speeding up for certain categories, but there’s still a backlog for others. The FDA’s tracker (https://www.fda.gov/emergency-preparedness-and-response/mcm-legal-regulatory-and-policy-framework/emergency-use-authorization) is kinda clunky but helps.

Reliability? Hit or miss. Some proxies work flawlessly, others get stuck in limbo. Wouldn’t rely on it for *critical* emergencies unless you’ve got a backup plan.

Ugh, the proxy EUA delays are real right now. A friend in the industry said they’re prioritizing high-impact apps, so if yours isn’t life-or-death, expect to wait.

Also, check out EUAWatch (https://euawatch.org)—unofficial but way more updated than gov sites.

Tips? Double-check your docs before submitting. One tiny error = instant delay. Learned that the hard way lol.

Honestly, the whole proxy eua system feels like a black box.

Some say it’s faster, but my team’s been waiting 3 weeks with zero updates.

If you’re in a rush, try reaching out to a consultant. Pricey, but they know how to navigate the red tape.

Proxy EUA approvals are *definitely* faster now compared to 2022.

But reliability? Still shaky. Heard from a colleague that their approval got revoked mid-deployment. Nightmare fuel.

For tracking, I use a combo of FDA’s site and LinkedIn groups—people drop hints there before official updates.

Short answer: It depends.

Long answer: Proxy eua is speeding up for diagnostics, slowing down for therapeutics. FDA’s been quiet on why.

Tool rec: EUA Radar (https://euaradar.com) aggregates timelines. Not perfect, but better than guessing.

Mixed bag, tbh. Our proxy EUA took 12 days (!!) but another team’s been stuck for a month.

Biggest tip: Get someone in legal to pre-screen your submission. Saves so much back-and-forth.

Also, follow @FDAResponse on Twitter—they drop random updates there first.

Proxy eua is a rollercoaster rn.

Some days it’s lightning fast, others it’s a ghost town.

For emergency use, I’d say… maybe? But always have a Plan B.

P.S. Reddit’s r/regulatoryaffairs has some decent crowdsourced updates.

Wow, thanks everyone—this is super helpful!

Had no idea about EUAWatch or the LinkedIn groups. Gonna check those out ASAP.

Quick follow-up: Anyone dealt with proxy EUA for international deployments? Heard the rules get even messier cross-border.

(And yeah, the FDA tracker is… something. Why is it stuck in 2005? 😅)
