I’ve been dealing with webmail socket issues too. I used a tool called TCPView to monitor the connections, and it showed that the socket was timing out. Restarting my modem fixed it for me.
Also, try flushing your DNS cache. Sometimes old DNS records cause connection problems.

Hey, I had this exact problem, and it turned out to be a browser issue. I switched to incognito mode, and the webmail socket connection worked fine. Weird, right?
Also, check if your webmail provider has a beta or alternative login page. Sometimes those are more stable.
