I’ve used both smartproxy and brightdata, and here’s my take: Bright Data is faster and more reliable, but it’s also more expensive. Smartproxy is cheaper and easier to use, but it’s not as consistent for large-scale scraping.
If you’re scraping at scale, I’d say stick with Bright Data. But if you’re just doing smaller stuff, Smartproxy is a decent alternative.
Also, have you looked into Scrapy? It’s a great open-source tool for web scraping.
