OpenVPN proxy protocol is great for security and anonymity, but it’s not the fastest. WireGuard is better for speed, but OpenVPN is more established and trusted.
For streaming, it depends on the VPN provider. Some work better than others. Torrenting is usually fine, but make sure your VPN allows it.
I’d suggest trying out a few VPNs with free trials. NordVPN and ExpressVPN are good options to start with.
