I think Adidas pricing is pretty strategic. Like, how does Adidas determine their price for something like the Superstar vs. a Yeezy? It’s all about the audience and the perceived value.
And don’t forget about resale markets. They know their limited drops will sell out and get resold for way more, so they price it high from the start.
