Try adding a `page.waitForNavigation()` after the select. Some dropdowns trigger a page reload or XHR call.
```javascript
await page.select('#dropdown', 'value');
await page.waitForNavigation({ waitUntil: 'networkidle0' });
```
If that doesn’t help, the dropdown might be event-driven—check for `change` listeners in DevTools.
