Wow, thanks for all the replies! Didn’t realize how much bottraffic could actually affect things. I tried enabling bot filtering in GA and already see less junk.
Quick follow-up: anyone know if bottraffic can mess with ad revenue? Like, do fake clicks hurt earnings?
Also, gonna check out Cloudflare—seems like a popular suggestion. Appreciate the help!

what is bottraffic? It’s non-human traffic, like everyone said. But here’s the thing—some bots are legit (like Bingbot), so don’t block everything.
For spotting bad bots, I use Uptrends’ bot traffic report. Super handy.
Also, if you’re on Shopify, they have built-in bot protection.
