If you’re on Mac, Shadowsocks is a slick option. It’s not a traditional proxy, but it’s easier to configure and way faster.
For Windows, 3proxy is lightweight but a bit technical. Maybe save it for later.
And yeah, free proxies suck. Invest $5/month in a decent one if you’re serious.
