Yeah, google translate will not translate website content properly anymore.
Try this: Copy the text and paste it directly into the Google Translate box. Annoying, but it works.
Some sites just hate translators now, tho.

Not just you! Google translate has been super buggy.
I’ve had luck with the "ImTranslator" extension. Not as sleek, but gets the job done.
Also, check if JavaScript is enabled—sometimes that breaks it.
