If you're getting connection errors, here's how to turn off proxy fast:
Windows:
- Run > "inetcpl.cpl" > Connections tab > LAN settings.
- Disable proxy and enable "auto-detect."
Mac:
- Network > Advanced > Proxies > uncheck everything.
Bonus: reset your browser settings too—sometimes extensions mess with proxies.
