I’ve been down this rabbit hole. A proxy server youtube thing only works if the proxy is closer to YouTube’s servers than you are. Otherwise, it’s pointless.
Use a tool like PingPlotter to check your route. If the proxy shortens the path, great. If not, don’t bother.
