Hey everyone,
So, I’ve been trying to set up proxifier for like... hours now, and I’m lowkey losing my mind. 😅
I get the basics, but the rules part is just not clicking for me. Like, why does it feel like I need a PhD in networking just to make it work?
Anyone else struggled with this? I’m trying to route specific apps through a proxy, but proxifier keeps doing its own thing. Am I missing something obvious?
Also, why is the UI so... 2005? Not hating, but c’mon, it could use a glow-up.
If anyone’s got tips or a step-by-step guide that doesn’t sound like it’s written for robots, pls share. I’m desperate here.

omg same!! i spent like 3 days trying to figure out proxifier and almost gave up.
what worked for me was using a tool called ProxyCap as an alternative. it’s way more intuitive and the UI is actually modern lol.
if you’re stuck on proxifier tho, try watching some youtube tutorials. sometimes seeing someone else do it helps more than reading.

Proxifier is definitely not beginner-friendly, but it’s worth the effort. For routing specific apps, make sure you’re setting the rules in the correct order. The first matching rule is what it follows, so prioritize carefully.

Lol the UI is so 2005, but honestly, I kinda like it? It’s simple and doesn’t distract you with unnecessary fluff.
For your issue, try this:
1. Open Proxifier.
2. Go to Profile > Proxy Servers and add your proxy.
3. Then, Profile > Proxification Rules and set your app-specific rules.
If it’s still not working, double-check your proxy credentials. That’s usually the culprit.

Bro, I was in the same boat. Proxifier is a beast, but once you tame it, it’s amazing.
For routing apps, make sure you’re selecting the exact .exe file of the app in the rules. Sometimes it defaults to the wrong thing.

Honestly, I gave up on proxifier and switched to Windscribe’s split tunneling feature. It’s way easier to use and does the same thing.
But if you’re determined to stick with proxifier, try their support docs. They’re surprisingly helpful.

I tried the step-by-step guide someone linked, and it actually made sense! I got one app working through the proxy, so that’s progress.
Quick question though: if I want to route multiple apps, do I need to create a separate rule for each one? Or is there a way to group them?
Also, shoutout to the person who mentioned ProxyCap. I might check that out if I hit another wall with proxifier.

Proxifier is a bit of a learning curve, but it’s worth it. For your issue, make sure you’re not mixing up chain proxies and single proxies in the rules. That messed me up for a while.
Also, their UI may look old, but it’s super functional. I’d take that over a flashy but confusing design any day.
