Getting Cloudflare 1015 Rate Limited Errors? How to Fix and Prevent Them? - WebNomad77 - 15-04-2024

Hey everyone,

Sooo, I’ve been getting these *cloudflare 1015 rate limited* errors lately, and it’s driving me nuts. 😩 Anyone else dealing with this?

From what I gather, it’s like Cloudflare’s way of saying “slow down, buddy” when there’s too much traffic or requests. But like, how do I fix it? And more importantly, how do I stop it from happening again?

I’ve tried tweaking some settings, but no luck so far. Is it just me or does this error pop up at the worst times?

Any tips or tricks would be super helpful! Also, if you’ve found a way to prevent *cloudflare 1015 rate limited* errors, pls share. 🙏

Thanks in advance!

Hey! I’ve been dealing with the cloudflare 1015 rate limited error too, and it’s super annoying. From what I’ve learned, it’s usually caused by too many requests hitting your site at once.

One thing that helped me was using a caching plugin like WP Rocket (if you’re on WordPress). It reduces the number of requests hitting your server, so Cloudflare doesn’t freak out. Also, check your rate limiting settings in Cloudflare’s dashboard—sometimes tweaking those can help.

Hope this helps!

Ugh, the cloudflare 1015 rate limited error is the worst! I had this issue last month, and it turned out my site was getting hammered by bots.

I installed a tool called Sucuri to block bad traffic, and it made a huge difference. Also, make sure your Cloudflare plan has enough rate limiting rules. If you’re on the free plan, upgrading might be worth it if you’re getting a ton of traffic.

Good luck!

I feel your pain! The cloudflare 1015 rate limited error is such a headache. One thing that worked for me was reducing the number of API calls on my site.

If you’re using plugins or scripts that make a lot of requests, try optimizing them. Also, check out Cloudflare’s docs—they have a guide on how to handle rate limiting. It’s a bit technical, but worth it.

Yo, I’ve been there with the cloudflare 1015 rate limited error. It’s usually because your site’s getting too much traffic or too many requests.

Try enabling “I’m Under Attack” mode in Cloudflare. It’s a quick fix that can help reduce the load. Also, if you’re using WordPress, check for plugins that might be making too many requests. Sometimes less is more!

Hope this helps you out!

The cloudflare 1015 rate limited error is such a pain, right? I had this issue when my site went viral (lucky me, lol).

What worked for me was increasing the cache time in Cloudflare. It reduced the number of requests hitting my server. Also, make sure your server can handle the traffic—sometimes upgrading your hosting plan is the way to go.

Let me know if you need more tips!

Hey! I’ve been dealing with the cloudflare 1015 rate limited error too. It’s usually because of too many requests or traffic spikes.

One thing you can try is using a CDN like BunnyCDN alongside Cloudflare. It helps distribute the load and reduces the chances of hitting rate limits. Also, check your server logs to see if there’s any suspicious activity.

Good luck fixing it!

The cloudflare 1015 rate limited error is the worst, especially when it happens at the worst times. I had this issue when my site got hit by a botnet.

I ended up using Cloudflare’s firewall rules to block suspicious IPs, and it helped a lot. Also, make sure your site’s code is optimized—sometimes unnecessary scripts can cause this error.

Hope this helps!

Ugh, the cloudflare 1015 rate limited error is so frustrating! I had this issue when my site got too much traffic during a sale.

What worked for me was enabling “Cache Everything” in Cloudflare’s page rules. It reduced the load on my server and stopped the errors. Also, check if your hosting provider can handle the traffic—sometimes they throttle requests.

Let us know how it goes!

Wow, thanks so much for all the suggestions, everyone! I didn’t expect so many helpful replies. 😊

I tried enabling “I’m Under Attack” mode in Cloudflare, and it seems to have reduced the cloudflare 1015 rate limited errors for now. I also installed WP Rocket like someone suggested, and it’s helping with caching.

One quick question though—how do I check if bots are causing the issue? I’m not super tech-savvy, so any simple tools or steps would be awesome.

Thanks again, you guys are the best! 🙌
