Anyone else having issues with Ultrasurf on Windows lately? Need help troubleshooting! - shadowTorX99 - 01-05-2024

Hey everyone,

So, I’ve been using ultrasurf windows for a while now, and it’s been pretty solid until recently. For the past few days, it just won’t connect properly. Like, it starts up fine, but then it just hangs or gives me some weird error.

Anyone else having issues with ultrasurf windows lately? I’ve tried reinstalling, restarting my PC, and even checked my firewall settings, but no luck.

Also, is there a specific version that’s working better rn? I’m on the latest one, but maybe I should roll back?

Any tips or fixes would be super appreciated! Thanks in advance, y’all.

P.S. My internet’s fine, so it’s def not that.

Hey! I had the same issue with ultrasurf windows last week. Turns out, my antivirus was blocking it without notifying me. Maybe check if your antivirus has a "stealth block" feature? I added ultrasurf to the exceptions list, and it worked fine after that.

Also, I’m using version 18.06, and it’s been stable for me. Maybe try downgrading if the latest version is acting up?

Yo, ultrasurf windows has been kinda buggy lately for me too. I switched to Psiphon for a bit, and it’s been working great. Not the same as ultrasurf, but it gets the job done.

If you wanna stick with ultrasurf, try clearing the cache and temp files. Sometimes that helps with connection issues.

Hmm, I’ve been using ultrasurf windows for years, and it’s usually reliable. But yeah, lately it’s been hit or miss. Have you tried changing the server location? Sometimes switching to a different region fixes the hanging issue.

Also, make sure your system clock is synced. I’ve heard that can mess with the connection.

Hey, I had the same problem with ultrasurf windows. I fixed it by running it as an admin. Right-click the icon > Run as Administrator. Worked like a charm for me.

If that doesn’t help, maybe try a VPN like Windscribe? It’s not ultrasurf, but it’s pretty solid for bypassing restrictions.

I’ve been using ultrasurf windows for a while, and it’s been mostly fine. But yeah, the latest version seems a bit glitchy. I rolled back to version 17.09, and it’s been working better for me.

Also, check if your ISP is throttling ultrasurf. Some ISPs block or slow down VPNs and proxies.

Same issue here! ultrasurf windows has been acting up for me too. I switched to Tor Browser temporarily, and it’s been working fine. Not as fast as ultrasurf, but it’s a good alternative.

If you wanna stick with ultrasurf, try disabling IPv6 on your network adapter. Sometimes that helps with connection issues.

Thanks for all the suggestions, y’all! I tried running ultrasurf windows as an admin, and it actually worked for a bit, but then it started hanging again. I’ll try rolling back to version 18.03 and see if that helps.

Also, I checked my antivirus, and it wasn’t blocking ultrasurf, so that’s not the issue. I’ll give Tor Browser a shot if I can’t get ultrasurf to work properly.

Quick question though—does anyone know if ultrasurf windows works better on older versions of Windows? I’m on Windows 10, but I’ve heard it’s more stable on Windows 7.

Hey, I had a similar problem with ultrasurf windows. I fixed it by updating my network drivers. Maybe give that a shot?

Also, I’m using version 18.03, and it’s been stable for me. Maybe try that version instead of the latest one.

ultrasurf windows has been hit or miss for me too. I switched to Hotspot Shield for a bit, and it’s been working fine. Not the same as ultrasurf, but it’s a decent alternative.

If you wanna stick with ultrasurf, try using a different port. Sometimes changing the port in the settings can fix connection issues.
