I’ve been looking into scraping data from Craigslist, but I want to get a sense of how much space I might need if I'm only collecting text data.

From my experience, the size of craigslist data without images can vary quite a bit depending on how much you scrape.
For just text data, you might be looking at a few kilobytes per listing, so if you're scraping thousands of listings, it could add up quickly. I’d recommend ensuring you have at least a few gigabytes of space just to be safe.

I’ve done some scraping from Craigslist, and the size of craigslist data without images is pretty manageable.
If you're mainly collecting text, even a large dataset won’t take up that much space—maybe around 100MB for several thousand listings. Just keep your data organized to make it easier to handle!

In terms of the size of craigslist data without images, I found that text data doesn't take up much room at all.
When I scraped about 10,000 listings, it only took up around 50MB. It’s definitely more about the organization of the data than the size itself.
