Got a device ban on Instagram, got a new phone—will it work? Need advice from Reddit! - dominatorTor - 10-02-2025

Hey guys, so I got hit with a device ban on Instagram, and I’m kinda freaking out. I just got a new phone, and I’m wondering if it’ll work to get back on IG?

Has anyone dealt with a device ban reddit new phone instagram situation before? Like, do I need to do anything special? New email, new number, or just log in normally?

Also, will they still track me or something? I don’t wanna get banned again lol. Any advice or tips would be super helpful!

Thanks in advance, y’all. 🙏

Hey! So I’ve been through the whole device ban reddit new phone instagram thing before. Honestly, just getting a new phone might not be enough. Instagram can still track you through your IP address or other identifiers.

What worked for me was using a VPN to mask my IP, creating a new email, and using a different phone number. Also, don’t log into any old accounts linked to the banned device. It’s a pain, but it’s worth it to avoid another ban.

Check out tools like NordVPN or ExpressVPN for IP masking. Good luck!

Yo, I feel you! Device bans are such a headache. I got hit with one last year, and switching to a new phone didn’t fix it right away. Instagram’s system is pretty sneaky—they can still track you if you don’t change up your setup.

I’d recommend getting a new SIM card or using a burner number (Google Voice works great). Also, clear your cache and cookies before logging in. Some people swear by using a factory reset on the new phone too.

Device ban reddit new phone instagram is such a nightmare, dude. I went through this a while back, and here’s what I learned:

- New phone alone won’t cut it.
- Use a new email and number (Google Voice is free and works).
- Avoid logging into any old accounts or using the same Wi-Fi.

Also, Instagram’s tracking is no joke. They can link you back through your IP or even your device’s IMEI. A VPN is a must if you wanna stay under the radar.

Good luck, and don’t stress too much—it’s fixable!

Hey! I had the same issue with a device ban reddit new phone instagram situation. Honestly, just getting a new phone didn’t work for me at first. Instagram’s system is super strict.

What finally worked was:
- A new email and phone number (I used TextNow for a free number).
- A VPN to hide my IP.
- Logging in on mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.

Also, avoid using the same profile pic or bio as your old account. They can flag you for that too.

Hope this helps!

Ugh, device bans are the worst. I dealt with this last month, and it’s such a hassle. A new phone alone won’t fix it—Instagram tracks way more than you’d think.

Here’s what I did:
- New email, new number (I used a burner app).
- VPN to mask my IP.
- Factory reset my new phone before setting it up.

Also, don’t log into any old accounts or use the same Wi-Fi. Instagram’s system is super sensitive.

Check out r/Instagram on Reddit for more tips. Good luck!

Wow, thanks so much for all the advice, y’all! I didn’t realize how sneaky Instagram’s tracking could be. I’ll definitely try the VPN and get a new number through Google Voice or TextNow.

Quick question though—if I use a VPN, do I need to keep it on all the time, or just when I’m logging in? Also, has anyone tried using a different app store account? Like, would that help at all?

Thanks again for all the tips—this has been super helpful! 🙏

Hey! So I’ve been through the device ban reddit new phone instagram mess before. It’s frustrating, but there are ways around it.

First, a new phone isn’t enough. You’ll need a new email, new number, and preferably a VPN to hide your IP. Instagram’s tracking is no joke—they can link you back through your device’s IMEI or IP.

I’d also recommend avoiding any old accounts or Wi-Fi networks linked to the ban. It’s a pain, but it’s doable.

Good luck, and don’t give up!

Device ban reddit new phone instagram is such a pain, man. I went through this a while back, and here’s what worked for me:

- New phone, new email, new number (I used Google Voice).
- VPN to hide my IP (I use Surfshark).
- Logged in on mobile data instead of Wi-Fi.

Also, avoid using the same profile pic or bio as your old account. Instagram’s system is super strict, so you gotta be careful.

Hope this helps!
