Anyone Still Using iOS12 Shadowrocket? Is It Still Reliable for Bypassing Restrictions? - ProxyCloakX - 02-06-2024

Yo, anyone still rocking iOS12 Shadowrocket these days? I’ve been using it for ages, but lately, I’m kinda wondering if it’s still holding up. Like, does it still do the job for bypassing restrictions or nah?

I mean, iOS12 Shadowrocket was *the* go-to back in the day, but with all the updates and new apps out there, I’m lowkey skeptical. Still, it’s got that nostalgic vibe, y’know?

Anyone else still using it? Or have y’all moved on to something newer? I’m curious if it’s worth sticking with or if I should finally let it go.

Also, does it even work well with newer apps/sites? Or is it just a relic at this point?

Pls share ur thoughts, thx!

yo, i’m still using iOS12 Shadowrocket and honestly, it’s been holding up pretty well for me. i mostly use it for bypassing geo-restrictions on streaming sites, and it still works like a charm.

that said, i’ve noticed some newer apps don’t play as nice with it, so i’ve been pairing it with a newer VPN like Surfshark or NordVPN for those.

if you’re just using it for basic stuff, it’s still solid. but if you’re trying to access newer platforms, you might wanna look into something more updated.

iOS12 Shadowrocket is def a relic at this point, but hey, if it works for you, why fix it? i moved on to Quantumult X a while back, and it’s been way better for handling newer apps and sites.

if you’re feeling nostalgic but still want functionality, maybe give Quantumult X a try. it’s got a similar vibe but way more updated features.

honestly, i think it’s time to let iOS12 Shadowrocket go. i used to swear by it too, but it’s just not keeping up with modern apps and restrictions.

i switched to Loon recently, and it’s been a game-changer. super easy to set up and works flawlessly with newer platforms.

if you’re skeptical about sticking with Shadowrocket, i’d say give Loon a shot. you won’t regret it.

iOS12 Shadowrocket still works for me, but i’ve had to tweak it a bit to keep up with newer sites. i use it alongside a DNS changer like NextDNS, and that combo has been pretty solid.

if you’re not ready to let go of Shadowrocket, maybe try pairing it with something like NextDNS to boost its performance.

yo, thanks for all the replies! i didn’t expect so many ppl to still be using iOS12 Shadowrocket or have moved on to alternatives.

i think i’ll give Quantumult X a try since a few of you mentioned it. but i’m also curious about WireGuard—does it work well with streaming sites?

also, anyone know if iOS12 Shadowrocket still works with Netflix? i’ve been having mixed results lately.

thx again for the suggestions!

i’m in the same boat as you, OP. iOS12 Shadowrocket has that nostalgic feel, but i’ve been wondering if it’s still worth it.

lately, i’ve been testing out Potatso Lite, and it’s been a decent alternative. it’s not as polished as Shadowrocket, but it handles newer apps better.

if you’re curious, maybe give Potatso Lite a try and see how it compares.

iOS12 Shadowrocket is still my go-to for certain tasks, but i’ve had to supplement it with other tools for newer apps.

i’ve been using WireGuard for more advanced stuff, and it’s been a great combo. if you’re looking to stick with Shadowrocket but need something extra, WireGuard might be worth checking out.
