What's the best way to optimize configs in OpenBullet for better hits? or Can OpenBullet still compet - secureNomad77 - 05-01-2025

Title: OpenBullet beginners: What’s the biggest mistake you made when starting out?

Hey guys, just getting into openbullet and damn, the learning curve is steep.

My biggest mistake? Running shitty configs without testing first. Burned through proxies like crazy and got barely any hits. Also, didn’t realize how important good wordlists are—wasted hours on weak combos.

Another noob move: not tweaking delays. Either went too fast and got insta-banned or too slow for no reason.

Anyone else mess up bad when they started? Tips for newbies?

(Also, why does openbullet feel so glitchy sometimes? Or is that just me lol.)

*Keep it casual, but still helpful. Lmk if you want it tweaked!*

Yo, same here! My dumbest mistake was not checking the config settings before running.

Like, I didn’t even realize some configs had built-in delays or proxy rotations.

Wasted so much time getting IP-banned because I was blasting requests like a maniac.

Now I always test with a small wordlist first. Also, ProxyNova is a lifesaver for fresh proxies.

And yeah, openbullet can be glitchy af—try running it as admin, sometimes that fixes weird crashes.

Biggest oof? Using public configs without modifying them.

Half of them were outdated or just straight-up malware.

Learned the hard way to always scan configs and tweak them for my needs.

For wordlists, I use CrackStation’s free list—way better than random junk from forums.

Also, openbullet hates low RAM. Close everything else or it’ll freeze mid-run.

Man, I feel you on the proxies.

I was using free ones at first… total disaster.

Switched to paid rotating proxies (like Luminati) and suddenly my hit rate went up.

Also, don’t sleep on the “Max retries” setting in openbullet.

Set it too high and you’ll burn proxies. Too low and you’ll miss good hits.

Took me weeks to find the sweet spot.

Not backing up my configs was my regret.

Openbullet crashed and I lost everything.

Now I save copies like a paranoid freak.

For delays, start with 2-3 seconds and adjust based on the site’s rate limits.

And yeah, openbullet is janky sometimes—try the nightly builds, they’re less buggy.

Bro, my first fail was not using captcha solvers.

Got stuck on sites with simple captchas because I didn’t set up 2Captcha or CapMonster.

Also, wordlist quality matters way more than size.

Check out Weakpass for solid combos.

And if openbullet freezes, disable “Show hits live” in settings—helps a ton.

I messed up by not splitting my wordlists.

Tried running a 10GB file and openbullet just gave up.

Now I use HugeWordlistSplitter to break them into smaller chunks.

Also, avoid public proxies unless you like getting insta-banned.

Paid proxies + good configs = night and day difference.

Biggest lesson? Don’t ignore the “Timeout” setting.

Left it at default and wasted hours on dead requests.

Set it to 10-15 secs max unless you’re hitting a slow site.

For wordlists, Hybrid Wordlist Generator is clutch for mixing combos.

And yeah, openbullet’s UI is kinda trash—but it gets the job done.

Lol, my first config was a total trainwreck.

Didn’t even know what a “UserAgent” was—sent the same one for every request.

Now I use FakeUserAgent to randomize it.

Also, openbullet runs smoother on a VPN for some reason.

Weird, but it works.

Damn, so many good tips here!

Gonna try ProxyNova and CrackStation’s wordlists for sure.

Also, didn’t know about the nightly builds—definitely grabbing those.

One thing I tried after reading this: splitting my wordlist.

Way faster now, no more freezing.

Still struggling with captchas though—anyone got a cheap solver rec?

(And yeah, running as admin fixed some glitches. Wild.)
