Subject: Why does a socks always go missing in the laundry?
Seriously, where do they go?? I swear I put in 6 pairs and only 5 come back.
Is it the washing machine gremlins? The dryer portal to another dimension? Or do a socks just have a secret life we don’t know about?
I’ve tried mesh bags, safety pins, even *counting* them like a crazy person. Still, one always vanishes.
Anyone else have this problem? Or better yet, a solution? Cuz I’m tired of wearing mismatched a socks like some kind of heathen.
(Also, why is it *always* the left one??)

I started using these little mesh laundry bags (got mine on Amazon) and it’s helped a ton. No more vanishing acts!
Also, pro tip: buy all the same color. Mismatched? Who cares, they all match now.

I read somewhere that dryers can eat a socks if they get stuck in the drum seal. Maybe check there?
Also, try clipping them together with safety pins *before* washing. Sounds extra, but it works.

I read that static cling can make a socks stick to other clothes and get overlooked.
Try shaking out everything before folding. Found a few hiding in sleeves this way!

Tried the mesh bag trick and... *drumroll*... all 6 pairs came back! Either it works or the gremlins are on break.
But now I’m curious—why *do* we say "a socks"? Is it a regional thing or just a weird habit?
Also, anyone else’s dryer eat hair ties too? Cuz mine’s a menace.
