Looking for a reliable cheap proxy – any recommendations? or Where can I find a good cheap proxy that - stealthXchange_88 - 20-02-2025

"Where can I find a good cheap proxy that actually works?"

Hey guys, I’ve been searching for a cheap proxy but honestly, it’s a minefield out there. So many sketchy sites and reviews that feel fake.

Anyone got recs for a cheap proxy that doesn’t suck? I don’t need anything fancy, just something reliable for basic browsing/scraping.

Budget’s tight tho, so the cheaper the better—but not if it’s gonna die after a day lol.

Also, is it even possible to find a trustworthy cheap proxy? Or am I just setting myself up for disappointment?

Thanks in advance!

I feel you, man. Finding a decent cheap proxy is like searching for a needle in a haystack.

I’ve had luck with Proxy-Seller. Their shared proxies are dirt cheap and actually work for basic stuff like browsing and light scraping.

Just avoid the super shady sites—if it’s too good to be true, it probably is.

Try StormProxies! They’re not the absolute cheapest, but they’re reliable af for the price.

I use their rotating proxies for scraping, and they haven’t failed me yet.

Bonus: they have a 24-hour trial so you can test before committing.

Honestly, most cheap proxy services are hit or miss. But if you’re on a tight budget, check out Geonode.

Their free tier is garbage, but the paid plans are surprisingly decent for the price. Just don’t expect blazing speeds.

Yo, I’ve been down this rabbit hole too. My go-to is IPRoyal.

They’ve got residential proxies that won’t break the bank, and they’re way more stable than those sketchy $5/month ones.

Plus, their support actually responds when stuff breaks.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys! I ended up trying Proxy-Seller based on the first reply, and it’s working pretty well so far.

Quick question tho—anyone know if they’re good for scraping social media? Or will I get banned instantly?

Also, shoutout to the person who mentioned Smartproxy. Might give that a shot next if I need something more heavy-duty.

If you’re just doing basic browsing, why not try Hola VPN? It’s free and works as a cheap proxy alternative.

Not great for scraping tho—gets blocked real quick. But for casual use, it’s a lifesaver.

I’d recommend Smartproxy. Their pricing is fair, and their proxies don’t die after a day like some others I’ve tried.

Used them for a small scraping project last month, and zero complaints.

Bro, avoid those “unlimited cheap proxy” scams. They’re all garbage.

Stick with trusted names like Luminati (now Bright Data). Yeah, they’re pricier, but you get what you pay for.

If you’re desperate, maybe split a plan with a friend?

Check out Proxyrack. Their shared proxies are super affordable, and I’ve had no issues with reliability.

Not the fastest, but for the price, they’re solid.

Just don’t expect miracles if you’re doing heavy-duty scraping.
