Hey everyone, been thinking about this lately—how safe is a public web proxy server *really*? I mean, they’re super easy to use and free, but I’ve heard mixed things.
On one hand, they kinda hide your IP, which is cool for bypassing geo-blocks or just staying low-key. But on the other hand, some of these public web proxy servers log your data or even inject ads/malware. Sketchy, right?
Also, speed can be hit or miss. Ever tried streaming with one? Lag city.
So, is it worth it for anonymity? Or just a false sense of security? Curious to hear your experiences!
