Hey guys,
I’ve been trying to figure out how to track the ip address of a device, but I’m kinda lost. Like, what’s the easiest way to do it without getting too technical?
I’ve heard about using command prompt or some online tools, but not sure which ones are legit. Also, is it even legal? Don’t wanna get in trouble lol.
If anyone’s got experience with this, pls share some reliable methods or tools. Maybe step-by-step?

One follow-up: If I’m using a VPN, does that change how to track the ip address? Like, will it show the VPN’s IP instead?

If you’re trying to track the ip address of a website, just use `ping` or `tracert` in CMD.
For more detailed stuff, NetStat shows active connections on your PC.
And seriously—don’t use this for sketchy stuff. Most ISPs log this data, so you’re not as sneaky as you think.
