hey guys, so i’ve been wondering how to track ip number for a while now. like, is there a simple way to do it without being some tech wizard? i’ve seen some tools online but not sure which ones actually work.
some ppl say command prompt (lol scary) but idk if i trust myself with that. are there any reliable websites or apps? or is it all just sketchy stuff?
also, is it even legal? don’t wanna get in trouble just tryna figure this out for legit reasons.
pls share ur experiences or tips on how to track ip number without it being a headache. thx!

If you're looking for how to track ip number without getting too technical, try using WhatsMyIP or IPLogger. These sites are super simple—just generate a link and send it to whoever you need the IP from.
But yeah, legality depends on where you live and what you're doing with it. If it's just for troubleshooting or security, you're probably fine. Just don't be creepy about it lol.

command prompt isn’t that scary! just open it and type `ping [website]` and it’ll show the IP.
but if u want something easier, Grabify is a popular tool for how to track ip address. just make sure u have permission before tracking someone tho. sketchy otherwise.

if u need it for legit reasons (like ur own network), just google "what is my ip" and u’ll see it instantly. no need for fancy tools.

but if u want a website, IP-Tracker.org works fine. paste the IP and it gives u rough location. not super precise tho.

if ur asking how to track ip number for like, a game server or something, most game consoles/show the IP in network settings.
otherwise, Advanced IP Scanner is good for local networks. just don’t use it on random ppl.

tried IPLogger and it worked for what i needed (just checking my own stuff). command prompt still feels like wizardry tho lol.
quick q: if i use these tools on my own network, is there any risk of like, getting hacked back? saw some ppl say that in other threads.

dude just use NordVPN’s IP lookup if u wanna check ur own.
tracking others? unless it’s ur kid or employee (with consent), that’s a grey area. better to avoid.

some email services show the sender’s IP in the headers. gmail does this if u know where to look.
