Ugh, so frustrating! I’ve been trying to check my DMs but Instagram just won’t load in my browser. Tried Chrome, Edge, even Firefox—nada.
Is it just me or is Instagram acting up today? Sometimes it’s a server thing, but I don’t see anyone else talking about it.
Quick fixes I’ve tried:
- Cleared cache/cookies (still no luck)
- Restarted my laptop (duh)
- Checked if my internet’s being weird (it’s not)
If y’all have any other tricks, lmk! Or is this a sign to finally stop doomscrolling? 😅

Same issue here! Wasted like 20 mins trying to figure out why won't browser open Instagram today.
Turns out, Instagram sometimes blocks browser access to push people to their app. Sneaky, right?
Try this: go to instagram.com and press F12 (dev tools), then click the mobile device icon (top left). Reload the page—might work!
If not, DownDetector.com shows if others are having issues too.
