"ugh, proxy server issues again! how to turn off proxy server on my PC?
seriously, this thing is driving me nuts. i accidentally enabled it, and now nothing loads properly. tried googling but all the guides are so technical.
anyone got a simple way to explain how to turn off proxy server? like, step-by-step for a normal person?
i’m on windows 10 btw. also, does it mess with anything else if i disable it? kinda paranoid lol.

omg i had this EXACT problem last week!
go to control panel > internet options > connections tab > LAN settings.
UNCHECK the "use a proxy server" box.
hit ok and restart (i know u said no restart but sometimes it helps lol).
