Subject: Page blocked by Chrome – anyone know how to unblock it?

Hey guys,

So I keep getting this "Page blocked by Chrome" error when trying to open a site I use all the time. Super annoying, right?

It says something about "harmful content," but I’m pretty sure the site is safe. Anyone else run into this?

Tried refreshing, clearing cache, even restarting my laptop... no luck.

Any fixes? Or is Chrome just being extra paranoid?

Thanks in advance!

Subject: Getting 'Page blocked by Chrome' error – any solutions?

Ugh, Chrome just won’t let me access this one page. Keeps saying "Page blocked by Chrome" with a red warning.

The site worked fine yesterday, so idk what changed.

Already checked for malware (clean), and my browser’s up to date.

Anyone know how to bypass this? Or is it a lost cause?

Appreciate any tips!

Randomly started getting the "Page blocked by Chrome" thing today. Site’s legit, so this is weird.

Tried disabling extensions, but still no go.

Is there a way to whitelist it or something? Or do I gotta switch browsers?

Help a frustrated user out, pls!

Hey! Had the same issue last week. Chrome can be super aggressive with its "Page blocked by Chrome" warnings.

Try this:
- Type chrome://settings/security in your address bar
- Under "Safe Browsing," switch to "No protection" (temporarily!)
- Reload the page.

If it works, the site might’ve been flagged wrongly. You can report it to Google here: https://safebrowsing.google.com/safebrowsing/report_error/

Just remember to turn Safe Browsing back on afterward!

Ugh, Chrome’s "Page blocked by Chrome" thing is the worst. Sometimes it’s a false positive.

If you’re 100% sure the site’s safe, you can bypass it by typing "thisisunsafe" directly on the error page (no quotes, just type it).

Weird trick, but it works. Chrome doesn’t make it obvious, lol.

Yo, same problem here! Chrome’s been extra jumpy lately with the "Page blocked by Chrome" alerts.

Clearing cache might not be enough—try deleting cookies for that specific site. Go to chrome://settings/siteData, search for the site, and nuke those cookies.

Also, check if the site’s URL changed (http vs https). Sometimes that triggers the warning.

Chrome’s "Page blocked by Chrome" error can happen if the site’s SSL cert expired or got messed up.

Open dev tools (F12), go to the "Security" tab, and see if there’s a certificate error. If it’s just a temp glitch, waiting a day might fix it.

Or try accessing the site via a VPN—sometimes regional filters cause false blocks.

OP here—thanks for all the tips! Tried the "thisisunsafe" trick and it worked?? Wild that Chrome hides that.

Still weird tho—why’d it block a site I use daily? Gonna report it to Google like someone suggested.

If it happens again, I’ll mess with the Safe Browsing settings. Appreciate y’all!

lol chrome’s "Page blocked by Chrome" is so dramatic.

If you’re on Windows, try running Chrome as admin (right-click > Run as administrator). Weirdly, that’s fixed it for me before.

Or use a different browser like Firefox just to check if it’s a Chrome-only thing.
