"Hey guys, quick question – is there a way to chrome config see ip address?
Like, can I check my IP just by digging into Chrome’s settings or config? I’ve poked around a bit but no luck so far.
Maybe I’m missing something obvious? Or is this not even possible?
If not, no biggie, just curious if there’s a sneaky way to do it without hitting up a "what’s my IP" site.

Nah, Chrome’s settings won’t directly show your IP. It’s not really built for that.
But you can type chrome://net-internals/#dns in the address bar—it’ll show some network stuff, but not your public IP.
For a quick fix, just google "what’s my IP" or use a site like ipinfo.io. Way easier than digging through chrome config see ip address stuff.

Lol, I tried this too! Chrome doesn’t have a hidden menu for your IP, sadly.
But if you’re on Windows, open Command Prompt and type ipconfig. Boom, local IP right there.
For public IP, you gotta use a site. My go-to is whatsmyip.com—super simple.

Why bother with Chrome when your OS does it better?
On Mac, open Terminal and type ifconfig. On Windows, ipconfig.
For public IP, sites like ipleak.net are solid. Chrome config see ip address is a dead end, sadly.

Tried ipconfig and it worked for my local IP, but yeah, public IP needs a site. Bookmarked ipinfo.io—super clean.

Fun fact: Chrome extensions *can* show your IP, but you’re adding more steps.
Try "IP Address and Domain Information" from the Web Store.
Otherwise, yeah, chrome config see ip address isn’t a thing. Just use a site—myip.com is clean and fast.

If you’re into dev tools, open Chrome’s console (F12), go to Network, and refresh.
Your local IP might pop up in the requests, but it’s not straightforward.
For public IP, stop fighting it and hit up whatismyipaddress.com. Chrome ain’t gonna help here.
