What’s the Best Proxy Server Checker for Testing Reliability and Speed? or How Do You Use a Proxy Ser - stinByte77 - 20-02-2025

"Which Proxy Server Checker Do You Trust for Accurate Results?"

Hey everyone,

I’ve been testing a bunch of proxy server checkers lately, and tbh, some are hit or miss.

Anyone got a go-to tool they actually trust? Free or paid, doesn’t matter—just need something that doesn’t give false positives or laggy results.

I’ve tried a few, but half the time, the proxy server checker says a proxy’s fine, and then it’s dead when I actually use it. Super annoying.

Also, do y’all prefer browser-based checkers or standalone apps?

Thanks in advance!

(PS: If you know one with a decent ping test, even better.)

I swear by ProxyNova for checking proxy servers—it’s free and pretty reliable.

It shows the uptime, response time, and even the country.

Only downside is it’s browser-based, but I’ve rarely gotten false positives.

If you need something with ping, maybe try Hidemy.name’s proxy server checker. Their results are solid.

Yo, I feel your pain. So many proxy checkers are trash.

My go-to is Spys.one—it’s got a ton of filters and actually updates the list in real-time.

Standalone apps are better imo, less lag.

Also, their ping test is decent, not perfect but way better than most free tools.

For paid options, Luminati’s proxy server checker is top-tier.

It’s pricey, but if you’re working with a lot of proxies, the accuracy is worth it.

Browser-based is fine for quick checks, but their API is where it’s at for bulk testing.

Honestly, I just use IP2Proxy.

It’s not flashy, but it gets the job done.

Free version has limits, but the paid one is cheap and super accurate.

No ping test tho, so might not be what you’re after.

Try ProxyScrape’s proxy server checker—it’s free and has a decent success rate.

I’ve compared it with a few others, and it’s consistently better at spotting dead proxies.

Browser-based, but super fast.

Ping test is basic, but it works.

I’ve been burned by so many fake "working" proxies lol.

Now I only trust WhatIsMyIPAddress’s proxy checker.

It’s simple, no frills, but it’s accurate af.

No ping test, but for quick checks, it’s my favorite.

If you’re into CLI tools, proxy-lists.org has a killer proxy server checker.

It’s a bit technical, but the results are spot-on.

Ping test is included, and you can automate it.

Not for everyone, but if you’re comfortable with command line, it’s gold.

Thanks for all the suggestions, guys!

I tried ProxyNova and Spys.one so far, and they’re both way better than what I was using.

Still gotta test the others, but this is already a huge help.

Anyone have experience with how often these tools update their lists? Like, do they refresh in real-time or just daily?

Also, big shoutout to the CLI tip—didn’t even think of that!

For a mix of free and paid, Geonode’s proxy checker is underrated.

It’s browser-based, but the accuracy is crazy good.

Ping test is there, and it’s way faster than most.

Plus, their UI doesn’t look like it’s from 2005 lol.
