"Help! Need to unblock browser at school/work – any tips?"
Hey guys, so my school’s wifi blocks *everything* – even harmless sites. 😤 I’ve tried a few things to unblock browser access, but nothing sticks. VPNs kinda work, but they’re slow af.
Anybody got better methods? Like, proxy sites or extensions that actually *work*? Or maybe some sneaky DNS tricks?
Also, why does Chrome sometimes refuse to unblock browser restrictions even with a VPN? So annoying.
Pls share your go-to tools or hacks! Just need something reliable (and preferably free lol).

Have you tried using the Tor Browser? It’s a solid way to unblock browser restrictions since it routes traffic through multiple nodes.

Ever tried using a mobile hotspot? If your phone has data, just tether and bypass the school wifi entirely.

DNS over HTTPS (DoH) might work! Enable it in Chrome settings (under Security).
Some filters can’t block it, so you might sneak past. Also, try accessing sites via Wayback Machine—sometimes the archived versions aren’t blocked.

Tried Cloudflare DNS and it actually unblocked a few sites—nice! Opera’s VPN was too slow tho.
Gonna test Tor and Psiphon next.
Quick Q: Anyone know why some proxies work one day but not the next? Is the school constantly updating filters?

Lol, my school blocked VPNs too until I found Windscribe’s "Stealth" mode. It disguises VPN traffic as regular HTTPS.
Also, if you’re techy, setting up a personal SSH tunnel can unblock browser stuff without IT noticing.
But fair warning: some schools punish bypassing filters, so tread carefully.
