"Anyone Else Experiencing Slow Speeds with Shadow Rocket Lately?"

Hey guys,

Been using shadow rocket for a while now, and it’s usually been solid. But the past week or so, my speeds have been kinda trash? Like, buffering videos, slow downloads—super annoying.

Is it just me or are others noticing this too? Maybe server issues? I’ve tried switching locations, but no real improvement.

Also, anyone got tips to speed it up? Or should I start looking at other options? Love shadow rocket’s simplicity, but this is frustrating.

Thanks!

Yeah, same here! Shadow rocket has been acting up for me too. Tried different servers but still laggy.

Maybe check your network first? I used speedtest.net to confirm it wasn’t my ISP. Also, restarting the app sometimes helps—kinda hit or miss though.

If it keeps up, might switch to something like NordVPN for a bit. Heard their speeds are more consistent lately.

Not just you, dude. My shadow rocket connection’s been crawling.

I switched to a less crowded server (avoid US ones at peak times) and it got a bit better. Also, clearing the app cache helped a tiny bit.

If you’re tech-savvy, try tweaking the MTU settings. Saw a guide on Reddit about it—could squeeze out some extra speed.

Ugh, yes! Been dealing with this for days.

Contacted shadow rocket support and they said they’re “aware of the issue” but no ETA on a fix. Super frustrating.

In the meantime, I’ve been using Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 app as a backup. Not a full VPN, but helps with basic browsing.

Shadow rocket’s been hit or miss for me too.

Pro tip: Try switching protocols in the settings. Sometimes UDP is faster than TCP, or vice versa. Also, avoid auto-select for servers—pick manually.

If all else fails, maybe give ProtonVPN a shot. Their free tier is decent for testing.

Same problem here. Buffering drives me nuts.

I noticed shadow rocket works better late at night, so maybe it’s a congestion thing? Also, disabling IPv6 in my router settings gave a slight boost.

For testing speeds, I use fast.com—simple and no ads.

Yep, shadow rocket’s been sluggish.

Try updating the app if you haven’t. The latest version fixed some bugs for me. Also, check if your ISP is throttling VPN traffic—some do that.

If you’re on mobile, toggling airplane mode for a sec sometimes resets the connection.

Honestly, shadow rocket’s been unreliable lately.

I switched to WireGuard configs (shadow rocket supports it) and speeds improved a lot. There’s a tutorial on their site if you’re curious.

Otherwise, Surfshark’s been solid for me as a backup.

Not just you—my shadow rocket speeds are all over the place.

Weirdly, switching to a server in a nearby country worked better than my local one. Also, closing background apps helped free up bandwidth.

For diagnostics, PingTools on Android shows packet loss, which might explain the lag.

Yeah, shadow rocket’s been rough.

Try lowering the encryption level in settings (if you’re comfortable with that). Sometimes the trade-off for speed is worth it.

Also, DNS leaks can slow things down—use dnsleaktest.com to check.
