I’ve been testing a few free SOCKS proxy servers lately, but most are either slow or sketchy af.
Anybody got solid recs for a free one that’s actually reliable? Need it for basic browsing, nothing crazy.
Bonus if it’s easy to set up—I’m not a tech wizard lol.

Just be careful—some free proxies log your data. I’d recommend testing a few and checking the speed before sticking with one.

Tried ProxyScrape and it’s... okay? Speeds are meh, but it works for browsing.
Might check out Windscribe’s free plan since a few of you recommended it.
Quick Q: Anyone know if SOCKS5 is better for streaming too? Or just torrenting/gaming?

SOCKS proxies are better for stuff like gaming because they don’t mess with your traffic like HTTP proxies do.
As for free socks proxy servers, ProxyRack has a rotating list. Speeds vary, but it’s okay for light use.
Just don’t use them for anything sensitive.

Free socks proxy servers are usually garbage—slow, unstable, or worse.
But if you insist, check out PremProxy. Just don’t say I didn’t warn you lol.
