"Is IP Blocking Still a Reliable Way to Ban Problematic Users?"

Hey everyone! So I’ve been using ip blocking for a while to keep out bots and trolls, but lately I’m wondering if it’s even worth the effort. Like, sure, it stops some obvious bad actors, but isn’t it super easy to bypass with VPNs or just changing IPs?

On one hand, it’s a quick fix and stops low-effort attacks. On the other, feels like playing whack-a-mole sometimes.

What’s your experience? Does ip blocking still work for you, or are there better ways to handle this? Also, anyone dealing with persistent trolls who just switch IPs like it’s nothing?
