What’s the Best Proxy Checker for Reliable Results? or How Do You Test if a Proxy is Working? Any Goo - dataNomadX77 - 20-05-2024

"What’s the Best Proxy Checker for Reliable Results?"

Hey guys, so I’ve been testing a bunch of proxy checkers lately and tbh, some are straight-up trash. Either they take forever or give false positives.

Anyone got a go-to proxy checker that actually works? I need something fast *and* accurate. Tried a few free ones, but they’re hit or miss.

Also, why do some proxy checkers show a proxy as "live" but it’s dead when you actually use it? So annoying.

Drop your recs below—bonus points if it’s free or cheap. Cheers!

"How Do You Test if a Proxy is Working? Any Good Proxy Checker Tools?"

Yo, quick question: how do y’all check if a proxy is actually working? Manually testing each one is a pain.

I’ve used a couple proxy checker tools, but some are sketchy or super slow. Any favorites? Need something that doesn’t lie to me lol.

Also, does anyone just ping the IP or is there a better way? Help a noob out!

"Looking for a Fast and Accurate Proxy Checker—Any Recommendations?"

Alright, I’m done with garbage proxy checkers that waste my time.

Need one that’s *fast* and doesn’t give me fake "working" results. Free is cool, but I’ll pay if it’s worth it.

What’s your top pick? Spill the beans, folks!

I’ve been using ProxyNova for a while now, and it’s been solid. Fast checks, and I rarely get false positives.

The free version is decent, but the paid one is way faster. Also, it shows ping times, which helps weed out the slow ones.

Why do some proxy checkers suck? Probably because they just ping the IP and call it "live" without actually testing the connection. ProxyNova actually tries to connect, so it’s more reliable.

Yo, ScraperAPI’s proxy checker is low-key underrated. It’s not free, but it’s worth it if you’re working with a lot of proxies.

It checks for anonymity level too, which most free tools ignore.

And yeah, the "live but dead" thing happens when the checker doesn’t test the port properly. ScraperAPI actually verifies the proxy can handle requests, not just that it’s online.

Man, I feel you on the false positives. I switched to IPRoyal’s proxy checker, and it’s been a game-changer.

It’s not the fastest, but it’s accurate af. Plus, it gives you the geolocation and ISP info, which is handy.

Free tools are hit or miss because they cut corners. If you’re serious, just pay for a good one.

Ever tried Proxy-Seller’s checker? It’s my go-to for bulk checks.

Super fast, and you can filter by country, speed, etc. The free version has limits, but it’s better than most.

Also, pro tip: always test a few "live" proxies manually. Some checkers just scrape lists and don’t actually verify.

Lol, the struggle is real. I gave up on free proxy checkers and just use Bright Data’s tool now.

It’s pricey, but it’s the only one that hasn’t lied to me. Checks for HTTPS support, response time, everything.

If you’re doing anything serious, don’t cheap out.

For quick checks, I just use Hidemy.name’s proxy checker. It’s free and does the job.

Not the most advanced, but it’s better than manually testing each one.

And yeah, the "live but dead" thing is usually because the proxy is overloaded or banned. A good checker should test under load.

Dude, ProxyScrape’s checker is clutch. Free, fast, and pretty accurate.

It also lets you export the results, which is nice if you’re building a list.

Just avoid the super basic ones that only check if the IP is up. You need something that tests the actual proxy functionality.

I’ve been burned by so many proxy checkers, but Geonode’s tool has been solid.

It’s not free, but it’s worth it for the accuracy. Checks for SOCKS support too, which most ignore.

And yeah, pinging the IP is useless. You need a tool that actually sends a request through the proxy.

Wow, didn’t expect so many solid recs! Gonna try ProxyNova and ProxyScrape first since they’re free.

Quick Q: anyone know if these tools check for rotating proxies? Or just static ones?

Also, big thanks for the tips on why some checkers suck. Makes sense now. Cheers!
