"Proxy Switchy Not Working? Any Fixes or Alternatives?"
Hey folks,
So I’ve been using proxy switchy for ages, but lately it’s been acting up—like, it just won’t connect or switches proxies randomly. Anyone else facing this?
Tried reinstalling, clearing cache, even restarting my router (ugh). Still no luck.
Are there any known fixes? Or should I just jump ship to another extension? If so, what’s a good alternative that’s as lightweight as proxy switchy?
Also, does it play nice with the latest Chrome/Firefox updates? Feels like it’s been abandoned...

Yeah, proxy switchy has been buggy for me too lately. Switched to FoxyProxy and it’s way more stable. Works fine with Chrome and Firefox.
Also, check if your proxy lists are updated—sometimes dead proxies cause random switches.

Proxy switchy’s been acting up since the last Chrome update.
Try clearing your browser’s proxy settings manually (chrome://net-internals/#proxy) and re-adding them. Worked for me!

If you’re looking for alternatives, check out ProxyCap or Windscribe’s proxy feature. Both are way more stable than proxy switchy these days.
Also, make sure your proxy credentials are correct—simple thing but easy to overlook.
