What’s the best way to set up a reliable SOCKS proxy server? or How does a SOCKS proxy server improve - ProxySeeker99 - 26-09-2024

"Looking for a fast SOCKS proxy server—any recommendations?"

Hey folks, I’ve been testing a few SOCKS proxy servers lately, but most are either slow or drop connections like crazy.

Anyone got a solid recommendation for a *fast* and reliable socks proxy server? Preferably one that doesn’t log traffic and has decent uptime.

I’ve tried a couple of the big-name providers, but speeds are hit or miss. Also, if it supports SOCKS5, that’d be a huge plus.

Bonus points if it’s easy to set up—I’m not looking to spend hours configuring stuff.

Thanks in advance!

I’ve been using Private Internet Access for my socks proxy server needs, and it’s been pretty solid.

Speeds are decent, and they support SOCKS5. Plus, they claim no logging, which is a big win.

Setup was a breeze—just grabbed the credentials from their site and plugged ’em into my client.

Might be worth a shot if you haven’t tried it yet.

Yo, if you’re looking for speed, check out ProxyRack.

Their socks proxy servers are *fast*, especially if you pick a location close to you.

Uptime’s been reliable for me, and they’ve got SOCKS5 support.

Only downside is they’re not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for.

Have you tried Windscribe’s socks proxy?

It’s not their main feature, but it works surprisingly well.

Speeds are good, and they don’t log traffic. Plus, their free tier lets you test it out before committing.

Setup’s super easy—just enable it in the dashboard and copy the details.

For a no-fuss socks proxy server, I’d recommend TorGuard.

Their SOCKS5 proxies are quick, and they’ve got a ton of locations.

Uptime’s been rock-solid for me, and they’re pretty transparent about their no-logging policy.

Only gripe is their UI could be cleaner, but once it’s set up, you’re golden.

If you’re cool with a paid option, NordVPN’s socks proxy servers are worth a look.

Not as fast as their regular VPN, but still pretty quick for a proxy.

Supports SOCKS5, and they claim zero logs.

Setup’s straightforward—just grab the details from their support docs.

Hey, I’ve had good luck with Smartproxy.

Their socks proxy servers are fast, and they’ve got a ton of IPs to choose from.

SOCKS5 is supported, and they don’t log traffic.

Only thing is, their pricing can get steep if you need a lot of bandwidth.

For a budget-friendly option, check out ProxySeller.

Their socks proxy servers aren’t the *fastest*, but they’re reliable and cheap.

Supports SOCKS5, and they’ve got a decent number of locations.

Uptime’s been good for me, and setup was a 5-minute job.

If you’re into self-hosting, you could roll your own socks proxy server with DigitalOcean.

It’s a bit more work, but you’ll get max speed and full control.

I followed a guide on GitHub to set up SOCKS5 with Dante, and it’s been flawless.

Downside? You gotta maintain it yourself.

LimeVPN’s socks proxy servers are underrated, IMO.

Speeds are solid, and they’ve got SOCKS5 support.

No logging, and their uptime’s been great for me.

Setup’s easy—just download their config files and you’re good to go.
