Subject: How Do I Disable Proxy Settings on My Computer?
Hey everyone,
I’ve been having some weird internet issues lately, and I think it’s because of proxy settings. I don’t even remember turning them on, lol.
Can someone explain how do i disable proxy settings? I’m on Windows 10, but if you know how for Mac or other systems, that’d be cool too.
Tried googling but the steps were kinda confusing. Maybe I missed something?

Hey! Had the same issue last week. For Windows 10, go to Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy.
Under "Manual proxy setup," toggle off "Use a proxy server."
Also, check "Automatically detect settings" if it's off. Sometimes that fixes weird connection issues.
If sites are still slow, try clearing your browser cache or restarting your router. Hope this helps!

Ugh, proxies can be such a pain. If you're on Mac, here's how to disable proxy settings:
1. Open System Preferences > Network.

Bro, I feel you. Had this issue after some sketchy software installed a proxy without asking.
For Windows 10, press Win + R, type "inetcpl.cpl," and hit Enter. Go to Connections > LAN settings.
Make sure "Use a proxy server" is UNCHECKED.
If it keeps resetting, run a malware scan with Malwarebytes. Some viruses mess with proxy settings.

Wow, thanks for all the suggestions! I tried the inetcpl.cpl method and unchecked the proxy box—seems to work so far!
But now some sites load super slow. Could it still be related? Or should I try the DNS thing next?
Also, ran Malwarebytes and found a few PUPs. Yikes. Gonna clean those up and see.
