"Does proxy yt still work reliably for bypassing restrictions?"

Hey guys, been using proxy yt for a while to watch region-locked stuff, but lately it’s been hit or miss. Some videos load fine, others just buffer forever or get blocked.

Anyone else noticing this? Are there certain proxies that still work well, or is YouTube cracking down harder now?

Also, how safe is it really? I’ve heard mixed things about getting flagged or even IP-banned (tho idk if that’s true).

Would love some tips if y’all have ‘em—like, best proxy yt sites or settings to avoid slowdowns. Thanks!

*(Side note: why does proxy yt sometimes just... not load anything? Is it just me?)*

Yeah, proxy yt has been kinda spotty lately. YouTube’s definitely ramping up detection, especially with their new AI filters.

I’ve had better luck with residential proxies (like Luminati or Smartproxy) instead of free ones. They’re slower but way less likely to get blocked.

For free options, try Hide.me or ProtonVPN’s free tier—just switch servers if one gets flagged.

Safety-wise, you probably won’t get IP-banned, but YouTube might throttle your connection if they catch you.

Honestly, proxy yt is a gamble these days. I switched to Tor Browser for region-locked stuff, and it works *most* of the time, but it’s slow af.

If you’re tech-savvy, setting up your own proxy with a VPS (like DigitalOcean) is way more reliable.

Also, clear your cookies/cache before trying a new proxy—YT tracks that stuff.

Bro, same. Proxy yt was my go-to, but now half the vids just buffer forever.

Try Windscribe VPN—their free version has a few servers that still bypass restrictions. Or use UrbanVPN (browser extension).

YT’s cracking down hard, so free proxies are dying. Paid options like NordVPN or ExpressVPN are more consistent.

It’s not just you—proxy yt is getting wrecked by YouTube’s updates. They’re targeting known proxy IPs now.

For a quick fix, try using a mobile hotspot + proxy. YT seems to detect those less.

Or just use a mirror site like ProxFree (but quality sucks).

Proxy yt is basically a cat-and-mouse game now. YT patches, proxies adapt, repeat.

I’ve had decent luck with Psiphon (free) for bypassing blocks, but it’s not perfect.

If you’re worried about safety, just use a burner Google account. No IP bans, but they might lock the account.

Lol proxy yt is so hit or miss rn. Sometimes it works flawless, other times it’s like YT knows *exactly* what you’re doing.

Try switching to incognito mode + a fresh proxy. Also, avoid logging into your Google account while using it.

For paid stuff, Surfshark’s cheap and works well.

Proxy yt’s been trash for me too. Switched to DNS proxies (like SmartDNS) and it’s way better—no buffering, but setup’s a pain.

YT’s def cracking down, so free proxies are dying. If you’re serious, just get a paid VPN.

Also, disable HTML5 player—sometimes that helps.

Thanks for all the tips, guys! Tried Windscribe and it’s working way better than the free proxy yt sites I was using.

Still get occasional buffering, but switching servers helps.

Quick Q: anyone know if YT can detect VPNs *and* throttle your main account later? Like, if I log in after using a proxy, am I screwed?

“” - darkXchangeX - 07-04-2025

Yeah, proxy yt is getting nuked. YT’s using machine learning to detect bypass attempts now.

Try using a lesser-known proxy service (like KProxy) or rotate IPs frequently.

For safety, don’t use your main account. And yeah, throttling is real—expect slower speeds.
