"Which Proxy Scrapper Do You Trust for Fresh Proxies?"

Hey everyone,

I’ve been testing a few proxy scrappers lately, and tbh, most of them either give dead proxies or are way too slow.

Anyone got a go-to proxy scrapper that actually delivers fresh, working proxies consistently? Free or paid, doesn’t matter—just needs to be reliable.

Also, how often do you guys run your proxy scrapper to keep the list updated? Mine seems to go stale after a day or two.

Thanks in advance!

*PS: If you’ve got tips on avoiding CAPTCHAs or bans while scraping, drop those too. Much appreciated!*

I've been using ProxyScrape for a while now, and it’s been pretty solid for fresh proxies. They update their lists frequently, and I rarely get dead ones.

For avoiding CAPTCHAs, I rotate user agents and add delays between requests. Works most of the time.

How often do you scrape? I run mine every 12 hours to keep things fresh.

Honestly, most free proxy scrappers are trash. I switched to paid tools like Luminati (now Bright Data) and never looked back. Yeah, it’s pricey, but the proxies are legit and rarely get banned.

If you’re scraping heavy, free options won’t cut it. Just my two cents.

Try ScraperAPI—it’s not just a proxy scrapper but handles CAPTCHAs too. Saves me so much hassle.

I run my scraper daily, but if you’re dealing with high-volume stuff, you might need to refresh more often.

Free option: Proxy-List from GitHub. It’s manual, but the proxies are usually fresh if you grab the latest commit.

For CAPTCHAs, use headless browsers with Puppeteer. Slower but way more reliable.

I swear by Smartproxy. Their proxy scrapper is consistent, and the API makes it easy to integrate.

As for bans, rotating IPs + residential proxies is the way to go. Free proxies will get you blocked fast.

Anyone else tired of proxy scrappers that give you 90% dead IPs? Lol.

I’ve had luck with Geonode recently. Their free tier is decent, but paid is where it’s at.

Run updates every 6 hours if you’re serious about freshness.

Hey guys,

Thanks for all the suggestions! I tried ProxyScrape and Smartproxy based on your recs, and they’re way better than what I was using before.

Quick follow-up: Anyone know if these tools work well with Puppeteer? I’m getting mixed results.

Also, big thanks for the CAPTCHA tips—slowing down requests made a huge difference.

Cheers!

Pro tip: Don’t rely on just one proxy scrapper. I use a combo of ProxyScrape and a custom Python script to filter out dead ones.

CAPTCHAs? Slow down your requests and mimic human behavior. Simple but effective.

Check out Storm Proxies. Their proxy scrapper is fast, and the IPs are clean.

For bans, I use a mix of datacenter and residential proxies. Less likely to trigger alarms.
