anyone else getting this?? i tapped it so fast thinking it was a dm or something, and then... nada. just a blank screen.
is this a glitch or is instagram just messing with us? 😤
i swear this app gets weirder every update. like, why even send the notif if there’s *literally* nothing there??
pls tell me i’m not the only one. also, if you’ve figured out how to fix it, drop a comment bc this is annoying af.

i think it’s a bug from their last update. i checked downdetector and a bunch of ppl are reporting it. maybe try clearing your cache or reinstalling the app?

try updating the app if you haven’t. sometimes that fixes weird bugs like this.

this keeps happening to me too!! i got a notification that there was nothing there instagram and it’s driving me nuts.
i read on twitter that it might be a deleted comment or like that still triggered the notif. insta needs to get it together smh.

i think it’s a server-side issue. downdetector shows a spike in reports rn. hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.

someone in a fb group said force-closing the app worked for them. maybe give that a try?

thanks everyone for the replies!! i tried clearing my cache and reinstalling the app, but it’s still happening.
guess i’ll just wait for instagram to fix it. so annoying though 😤
