Hey guys, I’m totally stuck here. Trying to log into my Netgear router but the admin page just won’t load. I typed 192.168.1.1 like always, but it’s either timing out or saying "connection refused."
Am I missing something? Did the IP change or what?
Also, how do i log into my netgear router if the default password isn’t working? I swear I didn’t change it, but it keeps saying incorrect. Ugh.
Any tips? Maybe a hard reset? Help a bro out!

Hey! Had the same issue last week. Turns out my ISP changed the default gateway IP. Try 192.168.0.1 instead of 192.168.1.1.
Also, for how do i log into my netgear router if the password isn’t working, you might’ve overlooked the sticker on the router itself—sometimes it’s not the usual "admin/password."
If all else fails, yeah, a hard reset (tiny button on the back) should do it. Just hold it for 30 secs.

Dude, check if you’re even connected to the router’s network. Sounds dumb, but I spent an hour troubleshooting only to realize I was on my neighbor’s WiFi lol.
For the admin page, try http://routerlogin.net—it’s Netgear’s own URL.

Ugh, I feel your pain. Sometimes browsers cache the old login page. Try incognito mode or a different browser.
Also, make sure you’re wired in via Ethernet if WiFi’s being weird.
For the password, yeah, default might’ve been overwritten by a firmware update. Hard reset is the nuclear option, but it works.

Bro, same thing happened to me! The IP might’ve changed if you’ve got a dual-band router. Try 192.168.1.1 AND 192.168.0.1.

Had this exact issue! Turns out my antivirus was blocking the admin page. Temporarily disable it and try again.
Also, how do i log into my netgear router if the page won’t load? Try clearing DNS cache (google how—it’s easy).

Check if your router’s in AP mode—some ISPs force that, and it changes the login IP.
For the password, if you’ve ever used Netgear’s password recovery, it might’ve auto-changed it.

Lol, this is classic. Make sure you’re typing http:// not https://. Some routers hate that.
