What's the Difference Between Blocked or Disabled Accounts? - maskedFly77 - 29-07-2024

Hey everyone!

I’ve been trying to understand the difference between blocked or disabled accounts on social media platforms, and I’m a bit confused.

From what I gather, a blocked account usually means that a user has chosen to block someone, preventing them from seeing their content or interacting with them. On the other hand, a disabled account typically refers to an account that has been temporarily or permanently shut down by the platform, often due to violations of community guidelines.

If anyone has more insights or experiences with blocked or disabled accounts, I’d love to hear your thoughts! Thanks! 😊

It’s also worth noting that sometimes accounts get disabled due to suspicious activity. If you ever face that, it’s good to check your email for any notifications from the platform.

Thanks for bringing this up! It’s a good reminder to be mindful of how we manage our accounts and interactions on social media.

Just keep in mind that if your account gets blocked or disabled, it’s important to read the platform’s guidelines. They often provide a clear reason for the action.

If anyone has tips on how to appeal a disabled account or prevent getting blocked, I’d love to hear those too! 😊

From my experience, if you’re blocked, you can usually still see the account but can’t interact or see their posts. But with a disabled account, it’s like the account doesn’t exist anymore until it’s reactivated.

I had a friend whose account got disabled for violating community guidelines. It took a lot of back and forth with customer support to get it back, while blocking is usually instant and just a personal choice.

Hey everyone!

I totally get your confusion about blocked or disabled accounts. They do sound similar but mean different things depending on the platform.

I once blocked someone on Instagram and thought they were still viewing my profile until I realized I just couldn’t see them anymore. It felt a bit weird!
