Hey guys, so I was trying to log into Roblox today and suddenly got hit with this error: *"an error encountered during authentication roblox banned"*.
No warning, no email, nothing. Just straight up blocked.
Is this happening to anyone else? I didn’t even do anything wrong (at least I don’t think so lol).
Tried restarting, clearing cache, even a diff device—same error.
Is it a bug or did I actually get banned? Super confused rn.
Any fixes or just gotta wait it out?

- Using a VPN (no luck)

Checked my email—nothing. Tried logging in on my phone and PC, same error.

Yo, had this issue last week. Turns out it was a false ban.
Contacted Roblox support and they fixed it in like 2 days.
Try submitting a ticket here: https://www.roblox.com/support
Also, check if your account shows up as banned on the Roblox website. Sometimes it’s just a glitch.

Cleared cookies, used a VPN, even reset my password—nothin’.

Lol same thing happened to my cousin.
He freaked out thinking he was banned, but it was just a server-side issue. Waited a day and it worked again.

Okay, so I fixed this!
For me, it was a firewall blocking Roblox. Added Roblox to my antivirus exceptions and boom—worked.
Worth checking if your antivirus or firewall is messing with it.

Got this error last month.
Turns out my account was hacked and someone got it banned.
Contacted support, proved it was me, and they unbanned it.

Tried the firewall thing—no luck.
But I checked my login history and saw some weird logins from another country. Changed my password and enabled 2FA.
Still getting the error though. Guess I’ll contact support and wait.
