What Are the Best Proxies for Speed and Reliability in 2024?

Alright, so I’ve been testing a ton of proxies lately, and let’s be real—most of ‘em suck. Slow, unreliable, or just straight-up sketchy.

But a few stand out. For speed, residential proxies are hit or miss, but datacenter ones? Blazing fast if you don’t mind the trade-off on anonymity.

If you need both speed *and* stealth, rotating residential proxies are where it’s at. Yeah, they’re pricier, but worth it if you’re not tryna get blocked every 5 mins.

So, what’s *your* go-to for the best proxies? Drop your recs below—no shills, just real talk.

(Also, anyone else tired of providers claiming “unlimited speed” then throttling you? Ugh.)

If you're looking for the best proxies that balance speed and reliability, I swear by Oxylabs. Their rotating residential proxies are insane—super fast and rarely get blocked.

Yeah, they’re not the cheapest, but you get what you pay for. Also, their IP rotation is smooth, so no annoying captchas every two seconds.

For datacenter, I’d say Bright Data is solid too. But if you’re on a budget, Smartproxy is a decent alternative.

Anyone else tried these?

Honestly, most proxy providers overpromise and underdeliver.

But for pure speed, datacenter proxies from Luminati (now Bright Data) are unbeatable. They’re not stealthy, though, so avoid if you need anonymity.

For a mix of speed *and* reliability, GeoSurf’s residential proxies are my top pick. A bit pricey, but they’ve never let me down.

And yeah, the “unlimited speed” claims are total BS. Always check the fine print.

I’ve been burned by so many “best proxies” that turned out to be garbage.

Recently switched to Storm Proxies, and wow—their rotating residential proxies are legit. Fast, reliable, and no throttling (so far).

Their customer support is actually helpful too, which is rare.

Downside? Limited locations compared to some bigger names. But if they cover your needs, worth a shot.

For scraping or automation, you NEED reliability.

I’ve had the best luck with Smartproxy’s residential proxies. They’re not the fastest, but they’re consistent, and that’s what matters.

Also, their pricing is transparent—none of that “unlimited” nonsense that secretly means “unlimited throttling.”

Anyone else hate when providers pull that crap?

If speed’s your priority, datacenter proxies are king.

I use ProxyRack for their dedicated datacenter IPs. Blazing fast, and they don’t oversell their servers like some others *cough* Hola *cough*.

But yeah, don’t expect anonymity. Trade-offs, man.

For residential, I’d say NetNut is underrated. Their speeds are surprisingly good for the price.

Rotating proxies are the way to go if you’re tired of getting blocked.

I’ve tested a bunch, and Soax’s rotating residential proxies are top-tier. Fast, reliable, and their dashboard is easy to use.

Only gripe? Their pricing tiers can be confusing. But once you figure it out, it’s worth it.

Anyone else use Soax? Thoughts?

OP here.

Wow, didn’t expect so many solid recs! Gonna test out Oxylabs and Soax based on what y’all said.

Also, big agree on the “unlimited speed” scam—so tired of that.

Quick Q: Anyone tried combining datacenter and residential proxies for different tasks? Wondering if it’s worth the hassle.

Thanks for the insights!

Best proxies for speed AND stealth?

Microleaves’ rotating residential proxies are my go-to. They’re not as well-known, but damn, they deliver.

No throttling, no sudden IP bans, and their speeds are consistent.

Plus, their support actually responds. Shocking, right?

If you’re on a tight budget, don’t sleep on Proxy-Seller.

Their datacenter proxies are dirt cheap and surprisingly fast. Not the most reliable for long-term scraping, but great for quick tasks.

For residential, though, I’d splurge on something like Oxylabs or Bright Data. You get what you pay for.
