ugh, is it just me or is instagram not opening rn?? i keep tapping the app and it either crashes or just sits there loading forever.
tried restarting my phone, clearing cache... nada.
anyone else having this issue or is my phone just being weird?

Same here! instagram not opening at all today.
Checked Downdetector and it’s blowing up with reports, so definitely not just you. Servers might be down.
Try checking @InstagramComms on Twitter for updates—they usually post when there’s an outage.

Tried everything—clearing cache, reinstalling, even resetting network settings. No luck.

Yo, mine’s been stuck on the loading screen for like 20 mins.
Googled “instagram not opening” and saw a bunch of people complaining.
Downdetector shows a huge spike, so it’s probably down for everyone.

Weirdly, it works on my tablet but not my phone. Maybe try logging in on another device?

Someone in a Reddit thread said turning off WiFi and using data fixed it for them. Didn’t work for me, but worth a shot?
Also, Outage.Report is showing tons of complaints, so it’s widespread.

Saw a tweet from @Instagram saying they’re “aware of the issue and working on it.”
At least they’ve acknowledged it, but still annoying.
