"What’s Your Go-To Proxy Scrapper These Days? Need Recs!"

Hey folks,

I’ve been hunting for a solid proxy scrapper that actually works without getting blocked every 5 mins. Tried a few but they either give dead proxies or get IP-banned too fast.

Anyone got a rec for a reliable one? Free or paid, doesn’t matter as long as it’s fast and gets fresh proxies.

Also, if you’ve built your own proxy scrapper, how do you avoid getting blocked? Captchas and rate limits are killing me lol.

Thanks in advance!

I've been using ProxyScrape for a while now, and it’s been pretty solid. They update their proxy lists regularly, and the free tier is decent if you’re just testing things out.

For avoiding blocks, I rotate user agents and throttle requests. Also, Cloudflare bypass tools like FlareSolverr can help if you’re hitting captchas.

Paid option is way better tho, less junk proxies.

Yo, ScraperAPI is my go-to. Not exactly a proxy scrapper, but it handles proxies, captchas, and rate limits for you. Saves a ton of headache.

If you’re DIY-ing, try mixing residential proxies with a backoff strategy. Free proxies are a mess—always stale or blocked.

Lol, feel your pain. I built my own proxy scrapper using Python + Scrapy.

Key tips:
- Use rotating IPs from Luminati or Smartproxy.
- Random delays between requests (2-10 secs).
- If you’re scraping heavy, pay for quality—free lists are trash.

Check out Proxy-List from GitHub. It’s open-source and gets updated often. Not perfect, but better than most free options.

For blocking, try adding headless browsers like Puppeteer. Makes you look less bot-like.

OP here—thanks for all the recs! Gonna test ProxyScrape and ScraperAPI first.

Quick Q: Anyone know if these work well with Shopify scraping? Heard they’re extra aggressive with blocks.

Also, big shoutout to the DIY tips—definitely gonna tweak my delay settings. Cheers!

Honestly, free proxy scrappers are a gamble. I switched to Oxylabs’ residential proxies and never looked back. Yeah, it’s pricey, but zero captchas and 99% uptime.

If you’re on a budget, try scraping free lists but filter them with ProxyCheck.io—saves time.

I’ve had luck with HideMy.name’s proxy scrapper. Their lists are clean, and the API is easy to integrate.

For blocks, rotate headers and use sessions. Also, avoid hammering the same site—spread your requests.

Try ProxyDocker. It’s a free proxy scrapper with decent fresh proxies. Not the fastest, but gets the job done for light work.

If you’re getting blocked, check if you’re sending weird headers. Some sites sniff those out.

I gave up on free proxies and just use Bright Data. Their proxy scrapper is built-in, and you get clean IPs. Expensive, but time is money, right?

For DIY, use a CAPTCHA solver like 2Captcha—lifesaver for stubborn sites.
