Hey guys, I’m kinda stuck here. Accidentally left my proxy on and now my internet’s crawling.
Anyone know how to disconnect from proxy server without restarting everything? I’m on Windows 10 btw.
Tried googling but all the guides are way too technical. Just need a simple fix, y’know?
Also, if there’s a keyboard shortcut or something to bypass it faster, that’d be awesome.

Hey! If you're on Windows 10, here's a quick way to disconnect from proxy server:
Open Settings > Network & Internet > Proxy.
Under "Manual proxy setup," just toggle off "Use a proxy server."
No restart needed!
For Mac, it’s similar—check System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and uncheck the proxy options.

lol been there! Proxy slowdowns are the worst.
Try this:
Press Win + R, type "inetcpl.cpl", hit Enter.
Go to Connections > LAN settings.
Uncheck "Use a proxy server for your LAN."
Boom, done. Faster than restarting!

For a keyboard shortcut, sadly there isn’t one built-in for how to disconnect from proxy server.
But you can create a batch file to toggle it!

Pro tip: If you’re using a VPN or proxy app, just close the app first. Sometimes it overrides system settings.
For Windows, Chrome also has its own proxy settings (chrome://settings/system). Check there too!
Mac folks: Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Proxies… might need tweaking.
