Is Incognition Browser the Best Option for Private Browsing? or How Secure is Incognition Browser Com - webLurkerX - 02-10-2024 "Is Incognition Browser the Best Option for Private Browsing?" Hey guys, been digging into privacy browsers lately and stumbled on incognition browser. It claims to be super secure, but is it *really* the best out there? Like, how does it stack up against Tor or Brave? Also, the whole "no logs" thing sounds great, but has anyone tested it? I’m kinda paranoid about trackers lol. Would love to hear if anyone’s switched to incognition browser long-term and their thoughts. Does it actually keep your stuff anonymous, or is it just hype? Thanks! --- *(Or if you prefer a shorter one...)* "Has Anyone Switched to Incognition Browser? Thoughts?" Yo, thinking of ditching Chrome for incognition browser. Heard it’s good for privacy, but is it worth the switch? Like, does it slow things down or break sites? Anyone here made the jump? How’s your experience been? Pls share, thx! “” - DisguiseXpert - 30-11-2024 I switched to incognition browser a few months ago after getting tired of Chrome’s tracking. It’s definitely better for privacy, but it’s not perfect. Like, it doesn’t slow things down much, but some sites freak out because of the anti-fingerprinting stuff. If you’re super paranoid, Tor is still king, but for everyday use, incognition browser is solid. Just don’t expect it to be 100% magic. Btw, check out PrivacyTests.org if you wanna compare browsers side-by-side. “” - deepWalker77 - 26-01-2025 Yo, incognition browser is decent but overhyped IMO. Brave does almost the same thing but with better ad-blocking. And Tor? Way more private but slower af. If you’re just trying to ditch Google, incognition browser works. But if you’re hiding from the feds… maybe look elsewhere lol. “” - NetVortex - 16-02-2025 Used incognition browser for a year now. Pros: No logs (as far as I can tell), good fingerprint protection, and doesn’t break most sites. Cons: Not open-source, which is sketch for a "privacy" browser. If you want open-source, check out LibreWolf. But if you’re cool with that trade-off, incognition browser gets the job done. “” - stealthDartX88 - 29-03-2025 Honestly, it depends on your threat model. Incognition browser is great for avoiding casual tracking, but it’s not Tor-level anonymity. I use it alongside a VPN and uBlock Origin for extra layers. Works fine for me, but YMMV. PS: If you’re testing, try Panopticlick to see how well it hides your fingerprint. “” - shadowGo77 - 07-04-2025 Incognition browser is *okay*, but I switched back to Firefox + privacy tweaks. Why? Because Firefox is open-source and has way more extensions. Incognition browser feels kinda limited after a while. If you’re just testing, give it a shot, but don’t expect miracles. “” - ghostTorX77 - 08-04-2025 Lol at people saying incognition browser is "super secure." It’s better than Chrome, sure, but that’s a low bar. Try Mullvad Browser if you want something actually private. Or just stick with Tor for max anonymity. Incognition browser is like a middle ground—convenient but not bulletproof. “” - webLurkerX - 12-04-2025 Thanks for all the replies! Kinda torn now—seems like incognition browser is good for basic privacy but not the ultimate solution. Gonna test it alongside Brave and see which one feels better. Anyone know if incognition browser works well with Bitwarden? Don’t wanna lose my passwords lol. “” - anonyStormX - 13-04-2025 I’ve been using incognition browser for 6 months, and it’s been solid. No major slowdowns, and I like that it auto-deletes cookies. But yeah, some sites (like banking) get weird with it. If you’re not a hardcore privacy nut, it’s a good pick. Otherwise, go Tor or something more hardcore. |
