Need Help Setting Up Proxifier for Multiple Applications – Any Tips?

18 Replies, 1986 Views

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to set up Proxifier for multiple applications, but I’m kinda stuck. I’ve got a few apps that need to route through different proxies, and I’m not entirely sure how to configure Proxifier properly for this.

I’ve read the docs, but it’s a bit overwhelming, tbh. Like, do I need to create separate rules for each app? Or can I group them somehow? Also, how do I make sure the proxies don’t conflict with each other?

If anyone’s got tips or a quick guide, that’d be awesome. Maybe even a screenshot of your setup? I’m not super techy, so simpler explanations would be appreciated lol.

Thanks in advance!
Hey! I feel you, Proxifier can be a bit confusing at first. What I did was create separate rules for each app. It’s a bit tedious, but it works like a charm.

For example, I set up one rule for App A with Proxy 1 and another rule for App B with Proxy 2. Just make sure the rules don’t overlap. You can also use the “Action” tab to specify which proxy to use for each app.

If you’re still stuck, check out this guide: [link]. It’s super detailed and helped me a ton!
Yo, I had the same issue last week. Proxifier is awesome but yeah, the docs are a bit much. Here’s what I did:

- Created a profile for each app.
- Assigned a proxy to each profile.
- Made sure the rules are in the right order (top to bottom priority).

Also, don’t forget to test each rule to make sure it’s working. I used a site like whatismyipaddress.com to check if the proxies were routing correctly. Hope that helps!
Hey there! Proxifier is a lifesaver once you get the hang of it. For multiple apps, you definitely need separate rules. Grouping them might cause conflicts, so I’d avoid that.

One tip: use the “Name” field in the rules to keep track of which app goes with which proxy. It’s a small thing, but it makes troubleshooting way easier.

If you’re still overwhelmed, maybe try ProxyCap as an alternative? It’s a bit simpler for multi-proxy setups.
Honestly, Proxifier’s learning curve is steep, but it’s worth it. I set up separate rules for each app and used the “Chain Proxies” option for apps that needed to hop through multiple proxies.

Also, make sure to disable the default rule if you don’t want any traffic leaking outside the proxies. I learned that the hard way lol.

If you want, I can share a screenshot of my setup. Just let me know!
Proxifier is a beast, but once you tame it, it’s amazing. For your case, yeah, separate rules are the way to go. I grouped mine by app type (e.g., browsers, games) and assigned proxies accordingly.

One thing to watch out for: proxy conflicts. Make sure each rule is specific to the app’s executable file. That way, Proxifier knows exactly where to send the traffic.

If you’re still stuck, this video tutorial might help: [link]. It’s a bit long, but it covers everything.
Hey! I’m no expert, but I’ve been using Proxifier for a while. For multiple apps, you’ll need separate rules. I tried grouping them once, and it was a mess.

Also, double-check the proxy settings (IP, port, auth) for each rule. One typo, and nothing works. I use a tool like Fiddler to debug proxy issues—it’s a lifesaver.

Good luck, and don’t give up! It gets easier, I promise.
Wow, thanks so much for all the replies, everyone! I didn’t expect so many helpful tips. I tried setting up separate rules like most of you suggested, and it’s working way better now.

I did run into a small issue though—one of my apps keeps bypassing the proxy. I double-checked the rule, and it looks correct. Any idea why that might be happening?

Also, big thanks for the links and tools you guys shared. I’ll definitely check them out. You’ve all been a huge help!
Proxifier is a bit of a headache at first, but it’s doable. I set up separate rules for each app and used the “Test” button to make sure everything was routing correctly.

One thing I’d recommend: keep a backup of your config file. If something goes wrong, you can just reload it instead of starting over.

Also, this forum thread has some great tips: [link]. It’s worth a read if you’re still stuck.
Hey! I had the same problem a while back. Proxifier is powerful, but yeah, the setup can be tricky. Here’s what worked for me:

- Created a rule for each app.
- Assigned a unique proxy to each rule.
- Used the “Direct” action for apps that don’t need a proxy.

Also, make sure to prioritize your rules. Proxifier processes them from top to bottom, so the order matters.

If you’re still confused, maybe try a simpler tool like Proxy Switcher? It’s not as feature-rich, but it’s easier to use.
