Do People See Your Account When You Open Discord Links?

Hey everyone!

Quick question—do people see your account when you open discord links?

I’ve been wondering this because I sometimes click on links shared in servers, and I’m not sure if my profile is visible to others when I do.

Like, if I join a new server or check out a friend’s link, will they get a notification or see my account info?

I’d love to hear your experiences or any insights you might have on this!

Thanks a bunch! 😊
I think if you click on a link in a server, people won’t get a notification about it.

However, if you join a new server, your presence may show up in the member list.
I appreciate all the insights!

If anyone has more detailed info about privacy settings or anything related to do people see your account when you open discord links, I’d love to hear it!
I’ve been wondering the same thing!

From what I understand, do people see your account when you open discord links? Not really.

Your profile info isn’t automatically shared unless you actively engage with the server or link.
Just be cautious about what you click on, though!

Even if your account isn’t visible, you might still encounter some sketchy links.
When I’ve opened links, it seems like my account info stays private unless I post or interact in the server.

So, I wouldn’t worry too much about it!
Thanks for clearing that up, everyone!

I feel a bit better about clicking links now. If I find anything else interesting about how Discord handles account visibility, I’ll share! 😊
